- 1960 represents a
defining moment in Nigerian history. It signifies the
time Nigeria became an autonomous state, when she became
an independent nation free from the ideology of the west
and free to become her own leader. This was only
possible because some persons of repute whose names are
forever ingrained in the foot prints of time took it
upon themselves to pay the price that our independence
demanded.
Hotel 1960 is a celebration of the times and heroic efforts of these men and women who gave what it took to make our country a better place for all. The likes of great Zik, Awolowo of the Western Nigeria, and all the heroes of years gone past.
These heroes who stood for integrity, freedom, an independent spirit and self determination fought the cause of liberty, liberty to self governance and freedom liberty to determine and exercise our God given right; the freedom to choose.
